Mr. Edward Harris
Mr. Harris bought controlling interests in The Alden Aurora Gas Company, Inc. and Reserve Gas Company, Inc. in 1964.
He used to hunt with the Genesee Valley Hunt, the oldest fox hunt in the country. Then, when riding became difficult, he turned to driving horses where he competed very successfully with Connemara stallions bred by his wife.
Mrs. Jacqueline Stirlin - Harris
Mrs. Harris was originally from Switzerland. She is shown in the photo above with her beloved, third generation Connemara stallion, Hideaway’s Erin Go Bragh, also known as “The Little Horse That Could,” from the children’s video made about him.
Two of her gas wells are still viable producers for Alden Aurora Gas Company, Inc.
